Terms of Service for Deface

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using the Deface app, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. One-Time Purchase

Deface is sold as a one-time purchase through the Apple App Store. There are no subscriptions or recurring charges. The purchase grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on devices associated with your Apple ID.

  1. All payments are processed by Apple. We do not handle or store any payment information.
  2. We reserve the right to change the pricing of the app at any time. Changes will not affect purchases already completed.

3. Permitted Use

  1. Deface is intended for personal, lawful use — such as protecting the privacy of individuals in photos and videos before sharing them.
  2. You may not use Deface for any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to circumventing identity verification systems, creating deceptive or fraudulent media, or violating the privacy rights of others.
  3. IMPORTANT: Deface's face detection is powered by on-device machine learning and may not catch every face in all conditions. You are responsible for reviewing the output before sharing any content.

4. Intellectual Property

  1. All content within the Deface app, including text, graphics, designs, and code, is the property of Andres Velasquez and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
  2. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute any content from the app without our prior written permission.

5. Privacy

Your use of the app is subject to our Privacy Policy. Deface processes all content locally on your device and collects no personal data.

6. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the app at any time if you violate these Terms of Service.

7. Disclaimer of Warranty

We provide the app on an "as is" basis, without any warranties or representations. Face detection accuracy depends on video quality, lighting, and angle, and is not guaranteed to be complete.

8. Limitation of Liability

  1. We are not liable for any damages or losses resulting from your use of the app, including any unintended disclosure of faces in processed media.
  2. By using Deface, you agree to hold harmless Andres Velasquez, its employees, affiliates, and partners from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the app.

9. Changes to these Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
